Rope access for repairing brick joints at height is a common and cost-effective method of getting the job done safely and efficiently. Rope access technicians are specialized workers who use recognized SPRAT\/IRATA-certified rope techniques to access difficult-to-reach areas.<\/strong><\/p>

Brick pointing is the process of using a filler material to fill the gaps between the bricks of a brick wall or structure. The purpose of pointing is to strengthen the brick structure, improve its watertightness and give it a more uniform aesthetic appearance. There are various types of filler materials that can be used for brick pointing, including mortar, sand and expanded clay. To achieve a proper brick joint, it's important to properly prepare the brick surface by removing any damaged areas, and to dust thoroughly before closing the joint.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

\nSTEPS AND SERVICES FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB:\n<\/h2>

  1. \u00c9valuation: <\/strong>First of all, we take note of the damage and the condition of the brick joints at height. We determine the tools and materials needed to carry out the work. This work usually follows a rigorous building inspection (LOI-122) by an engineering or architectural firm. A copy of the repair plan proposed by the latter will be required, to ensure a better assessment before starting the required repairs. <\/p><\/li>

  2. Sidewalk occupancy permit: <\/strong>If your building is less than 3 metres from a sidewalk, our team will reserve the permits required by the city.<\/p><\/li>

  3. Antennes of Communications: <\/strong>In order to protect our technicians and avoid potential radiation and burns, we will need to request that these be turned off temporarily during the work period. Our team will take care of all arrangements with suppliers such as Videotron, Bell, Telus, Rogers and others.Overhead workshop.<\/strong> <\/p><\/li>

  4. Security:<\/strong> Inspect the work area, identify potential hazards and implement safety measures to protect workers and bystanders on the ground. <\/p><\/li>

  5. Equipment and safety: <\/strong>All our technicians are SPRAT or IRATA certified, and equipped to work safely at height. They wear safety harnesses specifically designed and certified for this type of suspended work. We also use appropriate, state-of-the-art safety equipment that is constantly checked, such as removable anchors, straps and abseiling systems. For our own safety, we always work in pairs, and each technician is always attached to double ropes and two independent anchor points. Also, compared to other conventional means of access to heights, all our technicians are trained rescuers, so they can perform a rescue if an unexpected situation arises on site.<\/p>
