Building inspection (Bill-122) is the means of monitoring the general condition of a building, using ropes to move around its exterior surfaces.
This technique makes it possible to access hard-to-reach areas such as facades, roofs and chimneys, and to check the condition of building materials such as mortar, cement, concrete, windows, doors, balconies, skylights and other important elements. Building inspection on ropes is often used on buildings of 4 storeys or more, or on complex structures, as it allows easy access to these areas and close observation of details. This technique must be carried out by SPRAT/IRATA-certified technicians, using specialized rope access protective equipment.
