OVERHEAD CAULKING

...

Rope access technicians use special rope techniques to gain access to hard-to-reach places at height or in confined spaces, such as building facades and roofs, to perform a variety of tasks, including caulking.

Caulking by rope access technicians is becoming an increasingly common method in the Quebec construction industry, as it provides easier access to high areas without the need for scaffolding or aerial work platforms. It's also faster and much more economical than other conventional access methods.

STEPS AND SERVICES FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB:

  1. Occupancy permit : If your building is less than 3 metres from the sidewalk, our team will reserve the sidewalk occupation permits required by the city.

  2. Communications antennas : In order to protect our technicians and avoid potential radiation and burns, we will need to request that these be turned off temporarily during the work period. The Atelier en Hauteur team will take care of the necessary arrangements with suppliers such as Videotron, Bell, Telus, Rogers and others.

  3. Security : Inspect the work area, identify potential hazards and implement safety measures to protect workers and bystanders on the ground.

  4. Annual maintenance : L'Atelier en Hauteur specializes in general building facade maintenance, including masonry inspections and repairs, caulking and even window washing on hard-to-reach buildings.

At Atelier en Hauteur, we strictly adhere to established safety standards. Our entire team of rope access technicians is SPRAT/IRATA certified. Not only are they highly qualified, they are also supported by our ongoing training program to ensure consistent safety during on-site operations, as well as follow-up on work quality, new methods or the use of new products or work tools.
